Education in Medical Emergencies (EME) is an Emory undergraduate student organization dedicated to educating the public, in particular the Emory and Atlanta communities, in how to respond to medical emergencies. Students use their training in various life-saving techniques to engage the community in learning basic medical emergency procedures.

Dekalb Board of Health Emergency Preparedness Volunteer Opportunity
DeKalb County Board of Health Office of Emergency Preparedness is looking for volunteers for their 2020 Medical Countermeasure (MCM) Full-Scale Exercise. Volunteers will function as actors or staff workers. There are different roles volunteers may be asked to do, acting roles and staff worker roles. For acting roles, volunteers will be patients going thought the POD (Point of Distribution). For staff workers, volunteers will work the stations to provide greeter, triage, screening, or distribution of medicals. Just in Time Training will be given to everyone participating in the exercise.
When: Thursday, March 26, 2020 from 9AM to 12:30PM

Emory University's Campus CERT Training Opportunity
Emory EME is excited to share this exciting training opportunity through Emory CEPAR. Read below for more information and fill out the interest form to receive more information!
The Emory University Campus CERT (C-CERT) program educates the campus community (faculty, staff and students) about disaster preparedness and trains them in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, disaster medical operations, disaster psychology and terrorism.
This training allows the Emory C-CERT members the ability to assist in giving critical support to others in the event of a campus emergency.
In order to complete the training, participants must attend ALL scheduled classes and drills.
Classes will be held from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm on the following Saturdays:
March 21st
March 28th
April 18th
April 25th
The classes will be hosted by the Emory CEPAR in the 1599 Building (1599 Clifton Rd., Atlanta, GA 30322)

This year's annual Texas Two Step CPR training event will take place on Saturday February 15th at the Atlanta Beltline from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. This will be a great opportunity to educate our community on how to perform successful hands-only CPR, empowering them with the tools to save lives! Join as as a volunteer or help us spread the word to the Atlanta community! The Emory Experience Shuttles will be running to Krog Street Market during our event, so make sure to stop by and learn CPR if you're already visiting!
If you have already been to a training session, come take advantage of this chance to volunteer with us at this annual, nationwide event!
